News from the Royal Deeside Railway
| Service Resumed Posted by David A. Allan on Monday 5 May 2008 As mentioned during the previous news article work on the new Milton of Crathes station was completed prior to Sunday 27 April, allowing the railway to reopen to the public as planned. The temporary portacabin building is now on site and is being fitted out as the new shop & cafe and should be ready to take on this new role in the near future.
Work will of course continue throughout this year to complete the traditional fencing along the back of the platform and the handrails on the disabled access ramp, but the photos below show the (almost) finished article. |
