Deeside Railway Signalling

Signalling on the Deeside Railway was regularised in the 1880s at the insistance of the Board of Trade. Early signals appear to have been of the "somersault" variety, where the signal arm can be placed verical within the post itself. Note that "clear" is signified by a white light.
