Banchory Station in the 1920s.

Banchory station as reconstructed in 1902, with wider platforms and a covered footbridge. The original station was located a short distance further east, an inconvenient distance from the town centre. The new location was also some distance from the town and in 1961 British Railways opened a small halt in the town centre itself.
